I was interviewed for a piece on NPR about our business repurposing industrial and scientific crystals for gem usage
https://www.marketplace.org/2023/03/20/scientific-gems-are-having-a-sparkly-moment/amp/
It also features my friend Eric (@houseofsylas on insta or tiktok) and some other experts. I am kind of in shock!

This is absolutely incredible - not just from the fact that Steve was featured in NPR! Think about NPR's global reach, its ability to create awareness on social media, the various social media crosslinks that are going on right now regarding these materials, etc.

I've been half-jokingly and half-seriously saying that we're entering the second Renaissance of synthetics, but I think we're legitimately heading that way. The market awareness of unusual and exotic synthetics is growing, and the synthetics are being advertised and sold on their own merits instead of the historical standard of "diamond simulant". Aggressive fluorescence, colour change, and pleochroism are now highly sought after!

Exciting times!
