Hi,
I was just wondering how is it possible to exactly determine whether an emerald is oiled or not based on the microscope only. Major laboratories such as Gublein have F.T.I.R which makes it easy to determine colorless oiling, but how to do it on a microscope?
Also if u can enumerate about gublein standards and comments regarding treatment in emeralds.
what inclusions would be visible if the stone is oiled (just colorless oiling and not opticon)..
Thanks in advance
