Hi, I'm not sure whether heat treatment will significantly improve clarity, but from looking at the photos, it's a very nice red colour; unlike other common low-grade rubies that are purplish-red, brownish-red or a highly saturated red. If you were to heat them, you will need to repolish them. How much cost will this add to you? If the rubies are visually pleasant on their own, I would sell them as they are. You also get the added benefit of explaining that they're unheated! No heat treatment without the added premium price. That's a selling point in itself! |

Hi, I would be very surprised if this ruby is effectively from a Burmese origin as I never saw any blackish bluish inclusion as I see in this stone in a Burmese ruby... If it is a Burmese ruby you should not burn it but sell it to me so I could study this unusual gem... LOL Do you have a trustable burmese origin report for this stone? All the best, |
