Hey empress,

I'd just live with the change... and realise that you're a special type human who has the power to change what is real to most people. Does that make you special...Hell yes.

Glad to know you

Frank

Thanks Frank,

I really didn't want to take this off, anyway! 8) I'll live with it - I rather like the green color.

Empress, I'm with Frank, take it with the new change. It could even be a natural process after all. I received some feed back from a friend who mentioned he had read that Rossman's early work that considered the lavender color a result of Mn. I've certainly picked up the Mn in our chemistry readouts on lavender jade.

But here's a possible scenario: If it was Mn2+ it was likely stable and the purplish color stays, but if Mn3+ the colors could be unstable and oxidize into more of a greenish color.

Mn3+ in Kunzite to be the green hiddenite, yes? :smt063

Much to study on this, and I've not experimented with any of it to know any better. It may very well be that Barbra's comment about there being certain people that have "chemistry" can cause such changes, is entirely plausible. And as Frank has said, it's good to know one such human.
