Arya, can you slice a triangle wedge to show the piece transitioning from violet at the narrow end to blue at the thick end? That would be very cool.

I took some temporary pictures so you all can see it, before I get a chance to actually take some legit wedge-shaped slices. The material also has a decent colour change in different lighting conditions, from a sapphire blue to an amethyst purple.

Have you faceted any into gemstones? I know that you usually work more high end material, but I am curious to see what this would look like.

(NOT intended to sound so harsh)

I an still stuck in Alaska and will not be making it to Tuscon this year. My daughter had a spinal cord stimulator put in late December. I hope to be back in Dallas and will try to get to next years show.

One of these days I will get some YAG to cut. BUT I have not been able ot cut a stone for months, it has been hectic here.
