Hey friends, I recently got my hands on some very strange mint-green flame fusion spinel. Very typical spinel boules, but it's definitely different from the yellow material that fluoresces chrome green, and very much different from the bluish-green stuff. It's a pure mint green, hints of yellow and no hints of brown at all, that looks exactly like a mint grossular.
Does anyone have any info on it? Suspected chromophores, etc?

Humph.... this could cause some potential confusion. Separation?
What is the RI of this material? SG of the material? LW abd SW UV?
Singly refractive...does it show strain when viewed through the polariscope?
Hey Barbra! Given that I have absolutely no gem testing equipment, I'll have Steve Challener pick it up the next time he stops by, and will have him test it out.
Doesn't the older yellow, yellow green, mint green flouresce a yellow green or light green and not a chrome green? I have an old study stone from 20 years ago that flouresces such.
