Could someone tell how to heat a yellow sapphire from Sri Lanka?

It's a faceted 10 carat unheated sapphire with lab report. The color are already perfect considering it's a well saturated "Orangy Yellow" but it has a "feather" which I don't like.

I've read some reports indicating it should be heated in a reduced atmosphere. Is it possible to turn it into an Orange sapphire? How? Temperature? Time? What temperature will dissolve the feather?

I cannot help directly, but I remember a few threads on heat treating. You can try searching for them. Good luck.

I woulod love to see a picture.
