We don't really do valuations over the net. It looks like a partially etched heliodor/green beryl, or on an outside chance a green spodumene. If it's a heliodor it's worth quite a bit, if it's a spodumene it's worth less but still something. But we're not psychic, we can't tell what it is through the internet, and from there we can't give a real analysis much less a valuation.

What makes me twig towards heliodor is the classic curvy, etched form, similar to what you see from for example the classic Volodarsk material:

What I don't understand is how someone could have one and a) not know exactly what it is and b) that it's valuable. Even if your'e fishing for sales this seems like a weird tactic.

The first thing mdumar1984 should do is get it positively identified.

If it is indeed beryl, send a picture and copy of the ID report to Bonham's Natural History Auction.
