Someone in my world is selling a shocking number of plastic bags with what looks to me like synthetic rough material. It is advertised (somewhat cryptical to me): "The quality is defined by the manufacturer and the fabrication date".
I did a little research and this seems to be genuine vintage synthetic material (vintage like 1930's or so).

Would you agree?

As you can see from pictures attached, the labels include markings that I read: blue, green, yellow, blue cobalt, blue trapiche, yellow kunzite, opal.
100 grams in each plastic bag (maybe), not very large pieces.

The asking price is moderate to very (VERY) low depending on if there is value in this material... your guess: is there any? (The pictures are not conclusive, I know and I can see).

Would you hypothetically try this kind of material for faceting?

My opinion would be send some samples to a lab or gemologist for testing, then decide whether it is worth the time investment of cutting.

With some searching I found some content relating to glass and chemical factories.
