Hi everyone
My copy of Robert Websters Gems is the 3rd edition, At my local library in the reference room they have the fourth edition revised by B. W. Anderson.I have just managed to download the 6th edition.
Came across this on page 323.
Lapis Lazuli and Turquoise when impregnated with a colorless wax or polymer, this treatment need not be disclosed for it is considered to be normal practice. #-o [-X
I found it hard to believe what I was reading
One could say it is normal practice to impregnate jade with a polymer
and no need for it to be disclosed
What is next . Lead Glass Filled Ruby ?
