Hi
I got a necklace that was purchased in the esep70’s in Mexico. I was wondering if someone could identify the stone. Thanks
JP

Hi

Thanks to everyone that identified the stones as Tiger’s eye. The necklace is made up of 30 stones set in silver stamped 925. It also include matching earrings of the type that you screw on the ear lobes. I was wondering where I can get a valuation in London, U.K. with the idea of selling it. I tried to ad more photos but was not successful

You won't get much out of it. Both silver and tiger's eye aren't particularly valuable.

Some folks do collect Mexican silver.
Research the marks. That is equally, if not more important than the neck piece itself.

We can read "Taxco Mexico 925" on the necklace . I can't read the rest, above ...

The city of Taxco was and is still famous for silver craft
https://mexicansilverstore.com/history- ... -in-taxco/

Oh yes ! I read TC 33 and we can have some information here :
https://www.925-1000.com/mexican_marks5.html#M

So , circa 1979 ,
T indicates the location : Taxco
C indicates the first initial of the last name of the silversmith
The number indicates that he is the 33th smith with a name beginning by C to register a mark in Taxco

Excellent research, Danielle.
Comps:

Asking $325-$375 seems fair.
