Hi, I have bought this ring. What are your opinion about it??? Age approximately,
My opinion is Antique BAROQUE (ROCOCO 1730-1760) Diamond and Blue Enamel Eight pointed Star Ring. A small portion of History, just 300 years old!!! (Iberian or French not hallmarked). Mounted in silver over 18K Gold. handmade and weighing 12.7 grams. Antique Baroque Diamond Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold Set with a central rose- cut diamond approx. 0.50 carats and eight rose-cut diamond, all are foil backed.
Two aspects: Late Baroque (Rococo) 1730 - 1760, is an exceptionally ornamental and theatrical style of architecture, art and decoration which combines asymmetry, scrolling curves, gilding, to create surprise and the illusion of motion and drama.. Eight Star Pointed, also known as octograms, is the Symbols pf Hope; eight pointed stars are ancient symbols that were used by many cultures for various purposes throughout history... Hindus, Egyptians, Buddhists; Chinese people; Babylonians, Native Americans, Judeo- Christians, Muslims .
