Until I get more shots ready, these are from old files. The big, 48ct blue is now in my collection, and I have ground off the raised portion, revealing really nice colour the whole length. It has silk, so will need heating before being facetted. However, more and more people here in Aust, are "skin polishing" these types of gems, and getting outstanding stones.
The Tomahawk Tiger used to be on display at the little gem gallery at Rubyvale when I was a kid, I used to look at it whenever grandmother would bring us in from Russian gully to get an ice cream. That photo doesn't really do it justice, it's a nice yellow and the bands are bright green from memory.
The Autumn Glory stone was found near where my claim is today - I'm looking for it's big brother

Thanks for that Lefty, that was great. I have my fingers crossed for your own glory.
Cheers Wybee, I have fingers, toes and everything else crossed
I have a photo buried somewhere of a stone found by the bloke who took the compass bearings for my claim for us. It was doing the rounds out here for a while under the name "The Dam Lucky stone". He came back a short while after we had marked the post points and said "if you've got a spare hundred and fifty grand you can have this" and pulled it out. A magnificent stone, around 107 carats with a very strong colour change property - light green viewed in one direction, orange in the other and pink in artificial light. I did not have a spare $150 000
His brother also found a good one about 90 carats just under the surface a short distance from my claim. No colour change, just straight green but a nice stone nonetheless.

When I was a kid, a couple of old European guys further along the ridge from us found a beauty that would easily match some of those in the link. They named it "The Easter Egg" because they found it on Easter Sunday. I have no idea what happened to it, both men have long since passed away.
