Just read through an article on IPJ's from Gekko. The flexibility of this machine in gem recovery is amazing. De Beers is using it in several of their operations from arid regions to marine extraction for diamond recovery. It has been modified from its original intended use in heavy ore processing and performs equally well with gems of various SG. If a guy could reduce the size of this unit from its industrial size to something that would process cu yards, or feet of material instead of tons per hour, the small miner could really become exponentially more effective in processing and recovering their target. http://gekkos.com/sites/default/files/d ... ureJig.pdf
It is certainly an improvement over some of the other jigging systems and methods.

yep I looked at the roto pan video. A bit small for what I want to do. Not a bad idea for clean up though. Just finishing up the hopper with screens, and starting on the jig, got to work through some ideas with the IPJ in mind. Same principles as the pulse jig, but I like the idea that its a continuous clean out. May be something I can put together as small as a shop vac and still process a few yards per day of course materials, switch screens and process fines or concentrates. Going to take some work, and time.
