A few months back, one of my cutters told me a parcel of sapphires that had just been cut was from Namibia. I've been searching if there is a new find but couldn't find any. I know of rubies coming out but not sapphires. 1st and 2nd parcel of rough my cutter was able to cut some clean stones of below 3 carats, then the succeeding roughs were more included. Colors are similar to those produced by Montana - gray and light blues, light greens, a bit of yellows, a bit of whites, and a bit of darker blues.

It looks though like this is a spurt than a steady supply if true.
Any ideas?

Thanks!
