From time to time I browse e-bay looking for gem "preforms" & fun.

Today I found the second for sure. :D

Many of us complain about the amount of glass in glass-filled rubies, and the (lack of) disclosure of the treatment. We have gone a step further here: we have a vendor selling "ruby in glass". I think NOBODY can complain about his honesty. So I give him my personal two thumbs up (but I won't bid on the item).

It makes it sound like glass with ruby inclusions.
Ruby filled glass might sound even more exotic though.
With good marketing today one could sell anything....

Just to add to here on this topic.

Does anyone else suspect those "gold chatoyancy" might just be gold leaf and lacquer?
