Had to laugh when I saw that! I was at a Rock Roundup this summer when a young guy showed up with such high quality specimens (one looked JUST like that!) and surprisingly no one was interested in buying them from him! That's pretty bad when we are talking rockhounds who like our "cast offs" as specimens....(of course I steal my husbands broken crystals to facet, so it works out).

YUP! And so did his! But it took me less than a minute with a 10X loupe looking at his translucent faceted stones (as opposed to his chunky opaque corundums) to see how poorly cut they were. I found it interesting that with just a little time reading on this board, it took me seconds to identify lousy workmanship!
