Had to laugh when I saw that! I was at a Rock Roundup this summer when a young guy showed up with such high quality specimens (one looked JUST like that!) and surprisingly :oops: no one was interested in buying them from him! That's pretty bad when we are talking rockhounds who like our "cast offs" as specimens....(of course I steal my husbands broken crystals to facet, so it works out).

YUP! And so did his! But it took me less than a minute with a 10X loupe looking at his translucent faceted stones (as opposed to his chunky opaque corundums) to see how poorly cut they were. I found it interesting that with just a little time reading on this board, it took me seconds to identify lousy workmanship!
