I'm running a research project for a client who wants to get into the jewellery business. I've created what I think is an interesting business model for him and would like some contact with bespoke manufacturers in particular. (my place not here) (Suppliers of related goods are welcome to provide their details too)
If anyone would like to know more you can see a few details from my business page - click the link there to send me some info and learn a bit more. (Sorry I can't do full disclosure on that - just what you see for now)
I also have 4 stones to move on I bought for the research - you can find them on my surplus page if you are interested.
The link to use is: now dead.
best wishes john.

This is just a quick thanks to gemologyonline for allowing the above post. I know how tricky running a forum is - especially getting posts from new users that could easily be a problem - so thanks again.

Hi stephen
Sorry if my post has confused you. My main work is in unusual business services.
Yes - the sample sapphires I put on the site are all I'm selling there. My post here is really to attract bespoke designers and suppliers who may be interested in supplying goods and services to my clients new business to register - my site is a business services site - the creation of business concepts is one of the services I offer. My client is interested in the jewellery trade and I'm gathering some information for him - amongst other things. The four stones I'm selling there were bought for a specific research purpose for him and we don't need them anymore - hence surplus and moving them on. My client is especially interested in contact from Birmingham (UK) based designers at the moment but others can register interest for future trading so I added the form to fill in and put a message here.
For myself - gemstones is a topic I've been looking into for about a year now - initially as a hobby. However I'm setting up a web site to trade in gemstones as and when I get that far. (I took out the domain name gemimp.com (gemstone imports) for that purpose over the weekend.)
There wont be much on it for quite some time but the email is set up. (I'm still working on a USP for the site - that's not so easy. (that will teach me to give all my best ideas to clients!)
And of course as a one eyed man in the land of two eyed people - I've a lot to learn yet. (Not least trading in goods as well as services hence my reluctance to sell overseas just yet if you wondered about that too - its a busy time.)
