Maybe this site was set up by our "friend" from the appraisal thread. He and his buddy have set up shop overnight to sell their awesome good wares from JTV! Move over mini horses! Here comes the Gem Twins!

All is listed as being from Burma. Maybe it's a trick site set up by someone who is doing a story abou the Burmese gem trade? Those prices are ridiculous!

hi dragonstek:

*chuckle* We are spoiled, there are a lot of commodities that have that "return policy". The most frustrating is the software industry. If you are unlucky enough to buy a piece of software that has enough bugs to make it unuseable then tough .. we will replace tht bugged software with anyother copy that is just as bugged. :smt031 surprise this doesn't work either :)

Hi,

Could be my old screen, but am I supposed to see any colour in those gems?

You GOTTA love the "hybrid" gems! I just realized that I have about $100k worth of "hybrid" ruby and tanzanite (zoisite matrix) that I should hack up and tumble.

Or maybe I just have a few hundred bucks worth of cabbing/carving rough. Guess it depends what brand of lipstick you apply.

Steve, we'd love to hear more about your technique of applying lipstick before you cut your rough, please elaborate. ;)

My "lipstick" comment refers to the saying, "Let's put some lipstick on this pig...." meaning to make something worthless look attractive in some way. The TV gem channels do it all the time.

Calling opaque colored stone specimens in matrix "hybrid gems" is one way of putting lipstick on a pig. Not to mention high heels, makeup, a wig, and lacy lingerie, judging from the prices these people are asking!

Dear friends please relax :) , my name is Yaya I’m the manager of Gemoogle.com. THIS IS NOT A “TRICK” SITE. However, all of your comments are absolutely justified and correct. What you see online is a temporary template site which is not active. The Prices are random and the categories are far from being final. We are actually surprised that anyone found us online in this early stage (until not long ago only typing the word Gemoogle would have made the site appear and typing this specific word is not very likely). I personally apologize for this mistake on our behalf.

By the way, all the gems on the site ARE from Burma and are 100% natural and untouched! Just like Burmese gems they are very colorful and attractive. Please bear with us, we will be active very soon with updated info. prices and so on. I will be delighted to hear your opinions once the site is launched in the coming two weeks. Please visit us then and get back to me with any suggestions. Thank you.

I can see how randomized pricing would confuse people. ;) Best of luck getting the site up. 8)
