Seems like there is a market for natural quartz gems if they are accompanied by a lab report stating "Natural" origin. Here is an ametrine of poor color with a lab report and from a reliable dealer. At the time of this posting there are over 16 hrs left and the stone is going for over 2.00 per carat. For Quartz, on eBay, that is a LOT and it will probably go up before the auction closes.
