Hi all,

Like the look of this Tanzanite but would like your expert opinions.

I'm not an expert, but it's rather dark toned for my taste.

I've never heard of the School of Gemological Sciences (Thailand).

It is a little bit dark maybe but its hard to tell for sure. You can play with the lighting so much and in different ways that it might be a a few shades lighter or darker. Looks like they spent some time giving it a decent cut though. It wasn't belly cut and looks to have a crown that was cut at or near the proper angles.

Personally I have never seen a tanzanite that was too dark. Hard to tell from images on a moniter, but it looks like very nice to me.

It looks a nice stone. But I am wondering why the stone does not show any pleochroism. :?

Never mind. RI's are within margin of error, I guess. Lack of apparent pleochroism in the pictures could be due to the lighting.
