Wow, that was really surprising. I didn't think anything like this would happen. I'm the guy who bought that stone.

Yeah, I got it like, one, two weeks ago. It does look nice. The pictures and video are really accurate. I got it because I thought the rough looked really cool, but it's tempting to think about having it cut lol.

Hi ginger. I bought the crystal that Jason posted a link to. I might have it faceted, I'm not sure yet. It looks pretty cool as it is (obviously) and one of the things I really liked about it, is it's a decent size, nice looking, green stone. And I could actually afford it (<.< >.>) and if I facet it, obviously it'll probably be quite a bit smaller. So I haven't really decided yet. I wonder if anyone on this site (or in this thread) can give me like, an estimate of what someone could get out of it?

Oh yeah, and another question I wanted to ask everyone on GO, but couldn't figure out how to ask until I found this topic, is what does everyone think of the stone? Is it like, good quality? Was it a good price? Or did I make a terrible mistake? I know you'd be able to better tell if you saw it in person, but judging from the ebay pictures (and I might take pictures myself sometime) does it look like a good deal?

It's a lovely shade of green, and it looks quite clean. I don't know how to judge what kind of return you might get on faceting it, but as a specimen, it sure looks like a keeper. :)

Well, I should clarify, I wouldn't be cutting it myself. If I had anyone cut it, I'd be having this cutter that a jeweler I know uses. And apparently he usually cuts stones that are worth over a thousand dollars, so to my newbish mind, that sounds like high quality. Am I off on this?

And about return on faceting and all, I know noone could probably tell like, carat weight and measurement and all, but if someone had a ballpark figure, and what shape or cut they would think would be best, that's all I'm interested in.
