Hello, just enrolled for Diamonds&Diamonds Grading E-learning course and doubt how valuable purchase of the "original" printed book is. The course is providing *pdf files, from my precious experience with Preliminary classes e-version works okay.
I try to avoid much papers but efficiency is first priority anyway. ) Interested to know other opinions... Thanks!

Hi!
Printed books and materials are not needed to complete any of the eLearning courses as all course content is available online and as downloadable .pdf files that can be printed (which is why printed materials are not added to the tuition cost and are purchased separately). However, there are still students who like to have the physical books for offline study and use.
My only caution would be that if the printed books are purchased, do not use these alone to complete your work as you would be missing out on quite a bit of additional media content and resources which are only available online.
I hope that helps.
