I had an emerald handed in to GIA, the receipt came back with a comment stating, "fracture and cavity on the crown and pavilion, whatever the result mentiin in the report". Was wondering why they would say that, dont most emeralds have these, in order for oiling etc. Any thoughts?

I think those comments are just "best practice" condition on intake comments. These are made as protection against damage claims. Since the report will not include any quality information, or plot diagrams they will likely not get mentioned. It sounds like you will get fracture filling comments though.
