Hello All,

I would like to know if there is a specific way to become officially a GIA teacher for colored stones?

Do you need to get the GG title before even if you get other title?

Best Regrads

Olivier

You need to contact the GIA. AS far as I know they are scaling things down and not hiring right now. When they are hiring they have an apptitude test (5 hours or so) then you have to wait out the decision makers... I waited 2 1/2 months then took a position elsewhere. I am not sure if the GG is needed, it should be.

Hello Richard,

In fact is for teaching in a GIA Chapter outside US. So Do not know if I have to have a special grade or if I can teach just lke that.

I keep looking for information but not easy to find any via the GIA website.

Thank you for your answer.
Best regards

Olivier

Oliver, try THIS

There must be an e-mail link or phone number on the page where a GIA representative will answer you questions directly and advise you on your own unique situation.

For anyone interested in how you may represent yourself as a GIA course graduate, a subscriber or endorser of any of their products or services, see HERE
