New Sharp RBGY LED Display Just wondering if this new quad LED Display will give a different visual display of perceived color using GemeWizard / GemeSquare? Something to think about and ponder. Looks like some of us will have to develop a new limiting condition and Critical Assumption clause within our in-depth appraisals. Work, Work, WORK it never seems to get done!!! Later |

I would consider asking this question directly to Menahem Sevdermish. He is extremely forthright with answering questions. http://www.gemewizard.com/img/e_support.jpg Let us know his response. |

If color perception is important, any screen, LED, LCD, phosphor, whatever, should be calibrated. You probably have the means built into your screen driver. If not, Google "computer screen color calibration" for close to 3 million hits. All of the first page looks relevant. |

ANY screen needs to be calibrated to be accurate in color. For most/best accuracy one has no choice but to use a hardware calibration device. If you just prefer close to accurate, I have found this the best method to go with: http://epaperpress.com/monitorcal/index.html But instead of setting your gamma overall, instead, set it individually for each color(RGB). It will also depend on your browser and the software. I do not know if it uses color profiles, but would guess it would for accuracy. In this case, your best choice would be using a Browser that is color profile aware, like FireFox 3 with color management or Safari. I did do an article on it: http://gemaddicts.com/?p=313 |
