A gem can not be identified by looking at a picture.
If all you can provide is a photo of an unknown gem, don't expect a positive identification.

Identification requires additional information, like refractive index, specific gravity, microscopic observations, physical characteristics like fracture/cleavage descriptions, etc.

If it is impossible for you to obtain any of this information, you are advised to bring your unknown to a professional who can decide which tests are necessary for identification.

We are happy to provide recommendations to help you find a professional.

And, now a word for established members:
A request for help in identification is NOT a game.
You DO NOT have to make a guess about what you think the specimen is.

If you are going to post an answer, please give a full explanation as to why you have come to that conclusion and decided to post it as a possibility.
Thanks.
