New to here, wondering if I found glass or gemstone at quarry in Colorado between Silverton and Ouray? Any input would be great!

Thanks!

Looks to me like the blue/green one has conchoidal fractures so I think that one is glass.

You could take a file and see if it scratches the material, if so I'd definitely say glass.

The red one looks gemmy to me but I can't see anything definitive it just looks that way.

I'm sure the experts will chime in shortly and give you a better answer.

You need to look at the interior of your pieces, using a 10x magnifying lens, to see if there are round bubbles and 'swirls'. See here for examples:

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=21047&hilit=fake+gem+rough .
You also need to do some basic tests, like trying to scratch the material with a piece of known quartz. Although we would like to help you, we can't identify material from (fuzzy) photographs.
