Both minerals don't seem to be originating from Yemen, the cluster looks to be Tangerine Quartz cluster, green one is a close call for Jadeite or Maw sit sit, just analyzing from photos without any further knowledge or proof provided.
Personally, I would not buy the first one, but i would buy the second if it were cheap enough. Because I would be curious as to what it was, and it is a pretty green.
Do you think that $ 1500 is cheap and suitable for a green stone that weighs 400 grams?
Working 30 years as gemstone cutter (my husband) and 25 years gemstone wholesaler (both together) I would say, the quality makes the price.
I do not think that 1500 USD for a 400gr Maw-sit-sit rough piece is a cheap price but I do not know the exact quality seeing just from one photo only (the shown rough has much greyish matrix) and if it is mining from Yemen.

As far as I know, Nephrite is the only kind of Jade that comes from that area.
That seems like a very high price for the stone even if it is Yemen Nephrite Jade. Nephrite is generally an inexpensive material. It can be bought rough, on line, without negotiation, for $50/Kilo. Assuming (big if) that the piece in your picture is Jade, about 50% is not Jade so you would have only 200 grams of Jade. This would make the value around $25 after cleaning, and exporting. I would think, much less in its current state, and still in country.
Do these kinds of numbers instill confidence that your people are taking care of you, or that you will get rich dealing in gemstone minerals without training, and experience?
A day long visit to the people in the link I sent you would likely teach you more than years of sending us pictures to speculate on. They are in business, in gemstones, in your Country.

Personally, NO. I bought maw sit sit for $20/pound at Tucson this year. (It went up to $300/pound for higher quality, but I found some good stuff for $20/pound.)

Understood. It would be a little awkward for you to start chipping away.....unless you were that diamond dude who brought hardness points with him when meeting with sellers.
