Sold in Nigeria to my contact as Natural " Color change Garnet" ,and than sent to me unfortunately no visible inclusions under 10x
too much perfect color change, pink in day light, green under fluorescent, and orange under incandescent light.
Ri 1.67 ,SR, Very distinctive absorption spectrum ,lines are much stronger than you normally see in natural stones.
pretty sure its a synthetic material \glass hybrid
but i wonder what exactly is it...

I think this is the kind of color change glass they sell too dishonestly for real zultanite (diaspore).
But I don't know what it is made of.

Test it with a gem tester pen if you have one. If its a syndetic glass it will fail,
If its a real zultanite depending on what you use, it will show around the 3 marks or 3 red lights.

I would not trust this type of tester for this task (or for almost anything).
There is a lot of this sophisticated glass around. How does it feel to the lip, temperature wise? Know anyone local with a raman?

It might be the same material.

i don't trust these testers,honestly, and
i really have no doubt that this is not color change diaspore.
Ri is Much lower. color change seems too good to be true.
no visible inclusions at all i can't seems to find any even under X20 X30 With my scope.

it feel a bit warm after a short while. like glass should. maybe a bit colder than glass. like it mixed. i tested some sapphires that i have nearby ,they sure feel a bit colder and stay colder for more time.
no raman here. nope.
Thanks.

Looks glassy to me as well, Dor.
Offimatrix, thank you for your tip. Very kind of you to post pictures. Please be aware, as others have mentioned, that these instruments are not reliable tools.
Always use other instruments to verify.
I'd take it a step further, just use other instruments.

I am definitely see something inside there under 40x and closer, looks like breadcrumbs ,
like the ones usually seen in hydrothermal synthetics but really my scope is not that good to call it a fact.

All my specimen gems of zultanite show strait line like inclusions in all of them,
Even only just in the clean gems too.

There gem specimens not clean, but show line inclusions and fracturs.

These could be devitrification figures too, which can be found in glass having started to crystallise.
