Ive gotten rid of most of my gold quartz specimens save for for a few small cabs left for sale but I'm left with some stoned that aren't quite as cut and dry, to my untrained eye at least.

I see some pyrite, but i believe there to be some gold color.

Idk what do you think?

The easiest way to tell is the needle test. Get a magnifying glass or loupe set up so you can see the golden colored area, then poke it with a needle. Biotite will flake, pyrite will powder, gold will smear.

We can also get out our old handy streak plates again.
Gold has a yellow streak.
Pyrite has a greenish black streak.
