I've moved the post to a more appropriate category.

Wow...is that corrosion on the bottom of the pendant or some decorative element?

I am thinking that there needs to be a new category called "What is it?"

I'm gonna guess a poorly cut jasper, is that glue around the edge?

As far as value goes probably the weight of the silver if that is the metal.

I'm sorry if that sounds cruel but whoever made that has a lot to learn.

That said, if you made it don't be discouraged there are a lot of talented/knowledgeable folks here who would be happy to help.

im not selling myself out here but if you would like to you are welcome to go to my site, here you can find a good portion of the work from this jeweller.

snagglessharkteeth.com

his name is Tony and his main career is a head chef in Queensland,

if anyone can tell me the name of that stone that would be awesome as i want to sell it and it would be handy to know its name.

Queensland? maybe its ironstone, I do see some whitish material in the stone that I thought might be glue but could be non precious opal.

Why not ask Tony? if he made it he would probably know the stone.
