Hi,
I am Himal from Sri Lanka. We are currently running a small scale gem lab with some basic instruments and a PE FT- IR. you guys helped me in selecting the correct FT IR model with proper accessories. Now we are planning to go for further improvements. I kindly request your help for that.
so for the next stage we are planing for a UV and Raman. out of available models in the market for a new lab which model you suggest. We have some idea about Gemmoraman instruments.
in the case of UV should we go for standard UV like PE UV or customized instrument like GemmoUV

waiting for your valuable reply.

thank you,
best regards,
Himal

Hi,
We have been using MAGI instruments for 3 years. GemmoRaman SG by my mind is the best option in market. UV-VIS spectrometer: must to have especially for Sapphire and Emerald application. We use GemmoSphere by MAGI- simple to use and reasonably priced. With other systems, you will struggle to find a balance between performance and simplicity to place your samples: it's not an easy task to adjust a sample to get a light to detector... MAGI tools will definitely suitable for purpose as they constructed for gems. :-) :D

I dont have much experience with the alternatives but the instruments on show at the MAGI booth were amazing for their speed, accuracy and easy interface.
