Good morning everyone. Pls I need someone to clarify something for me.
What kind of transparent stone concentrate sunlight when lifted up against the sun to the extent that it causes the paper placed behind to catch fire.
This particular stone am talking about was discovered deep into the ground at about 16 m when they doing doing construction work for a flyover.
Am baffled. The stone is a bit weighty, transparent, slightly big and somehow concave in shape though not exactly or something roundish with one side curved inwards
Would appreciate your answers thank you

Are you sure?
Remember it was found 16m deep into the ground. Is glass also found at such depth? I mean just plain ordinary glass without value? Lol
Pls tell me more.

Thank you

This is a function of the shape and clarity of a stone, not its identity. We'd need a lot more to go on. Most stones don't take that shaoe naturally, though some tourmalines fracture into that shape. If someone told me this story when they were trying to sell me something I would take it as a worrying sign, let's say.

Your description sound as though you have a nice piece of glass.

Don't worry about how deep it was found at, glass has been around long time and turns up in odd places.
