Hi
Just curious about an item I recently inherited.
I was wondering how much money a 25 carat star ruby from Madagascar would be worth?
It opaque with an inclusion. It has an amazing 6 ray leg star. Its natural unheated not enhanced in any way.
Round cab cut. The star is just amazing. Its set in an 18k and platnium diamond ring.
Thank you for your time

Perhaps you could post a picture.
Top of the ring. Bottom of the ring. Side of the ring.

Also, let us know any quality stamps, hallmarks, makers marks in the ring.

The third, I played around with the levels a bit to see if I could get an idea of the inclusion scene.
Major fail

Definitely worth investing in a formal appraisal, by someone with a solid background in star rubies.

Beautiful stone. I think opaque star stones tend to be undervalued but this is a nice example and has been treated well with the setting.
