I'm about to tumble Calcite but it is a 3 hardness on the Moh's scale. I'm thinking that because it is not so hard that I should not tumble it for 7 days each stage. Doe's anyone know how long I should tumble it on each stage? Thanks.

I don't know how much tumbling experience there is on the forum, but I think your instinct is correct. It should wear relatively quickly between the softness and perfect cleavage. It will likely vary depending om whether your material is monocrystalline or polycrystalline as well. My suggestion would be to just monitor the progress more frequently on the first batch and just figure out the timing experimentally. There may be some extra complications though, and it is likely worth finsing a tumbling dedicated forum (I know they exist somewhere) or a more general rock boars like mcrocks.
