So I'm having trouble figuring out how to recognize doubling when looking through magnification.

I've obtained picture that shows doubling, but can someone point out exactly where the doubling occurs in the in the image?

It looks like a triangular facet, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for in the image to identify the doubling.

All of the facet junctions are doubled in this image. Look for parallel lines close together, and dark/lite areas with the same shape looking like they overlap. Find a similar picture of a CZ or Diamond and I think the difference will become clear.

Hi bretb.
Your picture isn't clear.
Look at this one: a bit better....especially the double culet.

Try identifying doubling of facets with easier material.

Ok, I think I have a better idea at what I'm looking at.

Were you ever able to see the doubling in the moissanite?

Yes first photo, Moissanite has double faceting, but mostly visible in the center.

Hello folks,
I want to share a video about the doubling of pavilion back facets. It is easy and understandable. I hope you will like it.

with best regards
