Nice material!

Is the faceted gem set upside down? Does that work? Haven't seen it in person. Was the best vantage point from the bottom?

The top stone is upside down, the crystals show so much better, no reflection & detail is visible both stones, the white gold doesnt effect the colors at all & the effect is wonderful to see in normal light, more blue visible-unique if nothing else- 8)

That is lovely, did you cut the stones yourself?

Why "not high value"? :D

Dumortierite in Quarz - such a lovely material...

Enjoy your pendant!

'not high value', this material is more collector stone, very little available & seems mostly found in Asia from cutters who supply to the public. The stone does have about 12 major origin countries & most of the material is in the form of a lapis type of material, the clear stones with Dumortierite crystals growing within are a very rare happening & to supply the buying public is very small & the fact that it is a quartz based material keeps the cost down-but what a show nature has presented- 8)

This is the finished pendent, 14kt white gold, 2" tall, & very unusual for a quartz based stone- 8)
