Post subject:  Ethiopian opal - any tips for a setting for this one ?

This is now "old enough" to settle ;) in a setting ... aprox 4 years ... but what kind of setting !!?? have been searching the internet for similar cut and potensial settings but nope ...8mmx8mm
Any tips?

I have 2 small videos of the stone too but have to figure out how to upload ...

Those are really nice looking stones.
Make one for it, a gold band around the girdle with the culets pointed left and right, add a nice bail and I think you would have something really cool that would move, show a lot of color and draw a lot of attention. If you wanted to protect the stone then some type of backing or cradle.

Thank you so much Jim :) they are perfectly cut and well polished, in Sweden, yes a band on the middle it must be, and i think it need some more protection.

A cradle would be nice, then it is the cradle that have to move enough to show the colours .

If it is going to moove/spinn inside the cradle .... In my head its complex to make it spinn and beeing protected ;)

Maybe someone have a good about a cradle? :)
