No, this one is for a 2.5mm snake chain. Or Her Neck wire. The Pendant is 40mm. long x 19mm. wide. I never thought to have a hinged bail at top to fit over an Omega. Great thought, too late for this one though. It was kind of a hurry up and "Get-er-Done" piece or,........... Thanks for your kind comment!

Ok, I'll bite.
Bangle--Wax carved and cast with a spessarite in gold sun and heat blued titanium and fused gold.
I finished this one today, but I have been working on a set of these for this month. I post my everydays production on my blog. ( For my students and family)
For those that are interested, I have a buch of Hidi's, (How I Do It) that I add to quite regularly for my students. How to make a similar bangle is described there. Go to

This one is a commission piece that was made with my clients material and stones and designed by her.
An onion pendant, 40mmx 30mm wax carved and cast. Symbolically something to do with the" layers of life", I believe....... Also posted on my blog with an upcomming Hidi.
My jewellery is left of center, so my clients are to (G)
Cheers, Hans

Here’s a commission I completed recently. I carved the black opal (9.61 ct.) from a Lightning Ridge nobby and designed the setting.
I do some gold work but this setting was hand-fabricated in 14K yellow gold by a very talented associate. Alll pierced decoration was hand-sawn and contoured. It contains a half carat of 2-point G-VS2 pave diamond and the freshwater pearl is an old one from Lake Biwa in Japan (pre-pollution).
hi this may be a very dumb question , but he goes . how is the pearl attached to he rough stone . i have very limited knowledge of jewelry making , if it s glued is there a chance it can be knocked off . i love the setting its in seens very secure , but id cry if i lost pearl .

It's not a dumb question. The pearl is very securely peg-set. I drilled a small hole through the opal and soldered the peg to the back plate of the setting so it extends through the hole to the correct height. After the opal was set I half-drilled the pearl and set it on the peg. The pearl filled a "dead" area of the carving that had little play of color but seemed necessary to me for overall proportion and balance. I also felt the pearl's shape, color and luster were a perfect complement to this particular opal.
