I really like this thread. Would love to see it get as active as the "off the dop thread"! ~Scott
I'm with you on that and could put up a couple items per week, but most of my pieces are kind of commercial (plus LOTS of halos...) - I work as the designing goldsmith in a retail jewelry store.
From time to time I do make a more meaningful piece like the star garnet pendant for my wife. A couple of weeks ago I finished a nice link bracelet in 19K WG with 492 diamonds in it. But sometimes I feel showing something like that would discourage others - with less time at the bench or simpler pieces - from showing their work.
And Scott, I like your 3 pieces of art - nice detail, design, and use of texture in the finish. More!!!

Thanks for the compliments! A well thought out piece like that star garnet is always appreciated . Even though I may not enjoy a lot of commercial designs like halo's, I think they always show a level of finish that should be sought after! I don't have as much time as I would prefer to make jewelry so I can only post around 1-2 at a time. I'm almost halfway through all of my designs already!
Made this for a friend in college. The liver of sulfur wore off though

Finished this last week (usually I post on the Lapidiary forum with the cut stones...). All the stone are synthetic sapphire (a modern twist on an old mine cut), and then the bracelet itself is sterling silver. A request from a friend, and it’s ready for delivery next week.
