Hi,

Just finished two new pieces: one with Burmese amber and one with orbicular jasper. Both are set in vermeil (gold plated silver) and made with "lost-wax-method".

Best regards,
Christel

Hans, the cuff links are gorgeous! I love those heavenly blue lapis lazuli!!!!! Nice job!

this pendant is made by using the leftovers of a sapphire parcel, glad that these ugly ducklings manage to find a place to rest gracefully....

Thanks danielle :-) Yes, it is made of 925 Silver. Here I attach 2 pictures, one showing the back, and another showing the side. Hope this helps.

Barbara O. Ellis, GG Thanks :-) Never thought they would be transformed well during the designing stage ....haha...

Hi WClee,

This is indeed a very nice piece =D> =D>

How did you manage the surface design of the piece? Is it some kind of hammered?

Best regards,
Christel

Thanks guys :D Glad that I am not the only one that feels that these "ugly duckling sapphires" are optimally utilized. Originally, I planned to throw these stones into the aquarium....but some how it was too hard to throw these unheated Burmese into the fish tank at the last minute although they are not well cut, and some with surface-reaching cracks some more...Luckily I didn't do it..

I did only the designing and gem sorting & arrangement. My jeweler friend was the one who perfectly implemented the magical metal work according to my ideas. credits to him! =D>

Before starting the metal work, we discussed a bit on methods of making it. Definitely not the wax method (not his favorite method !), should be some sort of hammering technique..I will ask him more about the detail of technique applied when I meet him the next time.

Cheers.
