Well, hell's bells.
That's pretty nifty to say the least!

I wasn't familiar with Tripps, so I did a bit of research:

Yeah, a lot of the settings I get are from Tripps, though I order through a reseller because I get better shipping costs from them. They are starting to carry a wider selection now as well, though whether they also get those from tripps, somewhere else, or are starting to produce their own, I couldn't say.

Another one from my brother. A milky/opaly blue Rwandan aquamarine (heated by me :) ), a titanite with great fire which doesn't come through in the pictures and a big round peridot.

Pretty cool stuff. Personally, there's a bit too many forms and shapes going on for my taste, but you can't please everyone. Since they all share that quality, then you're developing a solid style--whether or not it suits me is purely a taste thing.

They definitely look substantial, which is a good thing. I've seen a lot of wire-wrapped stuff that would fall apart if the stones weren't drilled.

It's been a while, but here are two more of my brother's latest creations.
Image
A mandarin garnet and a rubellite. Simple, but they both have a bit of a pastel tone (the mandarin garnet was cut from some small and slightly milky rough I got which gives it an orange-creamsicle type of color). The piece makes me think of rainbow sherbet.
Image
This one really shines in person. It's a (proper, fully saturated) mandarin garnet, a rhodolite and a saturated amethyst. The amethyst is neat because it has a distinct color shift from red-purple to blue-purple. I'm guessing that's pretty universal for saturated amethyst, but it is still fun. It's also just a bit included, and came in a parcel with stones that were more included, making me quite sure it's natural.

This is my first attempt at making a piece. I know that many pieces posted here are true masterpieces, but I think that this is not to bad for a first attempt.

Ooh, crown gallery wire. I was just saying the other day it doesn't get used nearly enough. Very nice :)

My brother just finished photographing another round of jewelery, and this particular opal performed really well. Opals always look better in person, but this one comes close to reality:

One more: this is a bit of an oddball, a round axinite with surprisingly pink tones in it set above a pink tourmaline crystal. I really like axinite, but especially that axinite.

Hi Stephen

Very nice pendants! =D>
Do you glue the wire to the tourmaline, or how do you get it not to fall out?

Thanks! There is indeed a bit of jeweler's epoxy involved--it's pretty much the only way to achieve the look I'm going for.
