There are some nickel mines which produce very good quality of Chrysoprase in south of Serbia and in region of Kosovo. I would like to find out the accurate location of the mines which produce the Chrysoprase. Some mines are located near the city of Leskovac, other mines are west of Pristina (Goles mine). I would appreciate it. Is it easy to access these mines? Is it necessary a 4x4 car (Jeep) for access or a normal car simply? Is there any danger about the field trip to Kosovo? I imagine there is safe about a trip to mines near Leskovac. There is any risk of stealing of Chrysoprase in borders of Serbian-Skopje (in area which is controlled by Kosovars) during the travel back to my country, Greece?
Just as a heads up, at least some of the material I have seen out of there appears to be chrysopal rather than chrysoprase, so that is something to look out for. Beautifully colored though.
No problem about the accurate of name of this material. Of course, the color is very beautiful, it has the color of green apple! So, I look forward how I can to reach there.
