Hi Everyone,

Today I received a PrivateMessage from Ghasi.

According to my check of the profile of Ghasi, they joined only hours before I was sent this message. The contents of this message don't even apply to my life.

Good luck,
Lorne

well folks, we always keep an eye on new members in order to avoid AD by pm, you must help us in order to take the house clean...
in this case i would wait a litte cos a simple mistake from a new member should be taken into consideration. Neverthless, please report to the mod/admins all the suspect pm.
thank you very much.
ciao
alberto

I don't know if other people look at the new members that are always appearing every day. I run a PHP bulletin board, and it's like flies circling an open garbage bin, the way spammers hunt these BBS's.

Thanks to our moderators for their never-ending work.

There are actual search engines that hunt these sites, then sell the listings to scum. Often if you are idly curious, take and search a "New member" name, one who just signed up to spam an often-dangerous URL, and you will see similar entires on many, many BBS's done that hour.

Just as a point of information, our MODs removes several hundred spam accounts daily.
Our members are approved individually, meaning that all new applications are reviewed before they are allowed membership.

This is an arduous and time consuming task. Sometimes a no-goodnik slips through, sometimes a well meaning person gets deleted, but on the whole out MODs do a super stellar job protecting us all from the slime balls who make a living out of joining forums and promoting annoying, and occasionally harmful, nonsense.
