Sain marie aux mines France 2010

there was some feedback from some vendors that specimens have been stolen a Day after they have been fotografed. So the the group of thieves checked out the vendors, made pictures from interesting stones, offerd them to some buyers and only after they have been sold the stones got stolen

sorry for my cryptic/yoda talk.
What happend is that a band of thieves fotografed first all the interessting Items on the show, then sent the pictures to possibel buyers and only if they had a buyer stole the stones. So they stole the Items and send them away the same day to the buyers. Fast very well organized crime.

A friend of mine was approached as she bought her lunch during a high-end craft show. The man started up a conversation, asked if she's a dancer (she is) and gave her a while rose because she's so beautiful (she is.)

She was delighted, and put the rose in her booth. A hour later, the show manager came by and told her to throw it away. Apparently the rose was a flagging technique to mark booths the thieves wanted to hit.

Cheers,
Lisa

Hi lisa

On the beauty note ...
eautiful
I tell any lady who looks at my work that I make beautiful things for beautiful ladies.

This is usually met with disbelief .. .so I add that any lady who wears my stuff automatically becomes beautiful.
I get them to put the ear rings on (for instance) pull out the mirror and tell them to smile (anybody looks better smiling) then say see what I mean. That usually makes the sale and the lady stands a little taller and has a more confident step when she leaves.

After all beauty is more about attitude than pulchritude.

I've got HUGE amounts of attitude. I must be gorgeous :-)

Bad attitude counts, right?

All my nieces at one time or another have wanted to be photographed with my wife's necklace.
They really do get taller.

I think some jewels (especially vintage earrings) are simply magic.
You put them on and become immediately beautiful.

The only thing it takes for a woman to be beautiful is to hear a man say "I love you."

Of course, it's always best if he actually means it! :smt049

I wish women would realize that they are simply the most beautiful part of the world. True stones have their own brilliance, but honestly I'll take a charming conversation with a woman over a stone any day. Not saying the jewelery doesn't help, but it's gilding the lily to some extent. Of course I'm still making stones and have no lady to tell that I think she is the most beautiful creature on earth. But that's alright if I can make something that make anyone feel more beautiful it's totally worth all the frustration.
Oh, and, yes a rent-a-thief is just another sign of how lazy people are, and devious others are.
