Search for Gem France and Congo Andesine.

There was never any proof that red andesine was found in the Congo.
Actually empirical evidence compiled by Dr. George Rossman proves that there is no Congo deposit AND that this material is artificially colored in the same manner as the Mongolian andesine embarassment.

Old news.

Clarification. Nicky is proud owner of some Congo Red Andesine......someday I think it will be a collectable curiousity.....for all the wrong reasons.

Hahaha, I actually got a piece of that from Gemline, but not at those prices! I think I paid 17 bucks for it. I bought it specifically for that reason, collectible curiosity, a piece of gem fraud history. I feel bad for the guy who had to unload it, apparently he paid a small fortune for it and had gemline sell it off for him when he found out it was a sham.
