Today I got this email:

Subject: Your Listing on RapNet
From: Michele Antonini <davidwalden@wildblue.net>

Dear Sir Is this stone attached available?
Hope there is no brown ,green in this stone?
Can you deliver the stone to Germany?
What is the final price? Pls advise. I need it urgent.

Thank you.

Michele Antonini
Please consider the environment before printing this email.

As you can see from subject and body of the email it seems like a genuine diamond inquiry which we usually get, they even asked a very professional question regarding the diamond shades (Brown/Green) that only a trade person asks.

In the end of the email there was an URL embedded PDF icon later i did analyze the Link and it was point to a fake Gmail Login page which i should enter Password... a classical phishing page.

Fortunately my Company and personal email are both provided by Google Apps and Gmail and they have a very good Phishing filter so it gave me warning:
Be careful with this message. Similar messages were used to steal people's personal information. Unless you trust the sender, don't click links or reply with personal information.

before i had received other type of phishing emails from our colleagues who got hacked but this time the sender was a different person (posing as new client) which i did not knew and he/she was asking a very professional question for deception purposes.

I was going to respond to this email and open the link if it wasn't for the warning i got in my inbox i could be a victim like "Jennifer Lawrence" except i don't have nude picture but other sensitive information like Bank/Credit/PayPal information....

hackers are studding professions and its getting very dangerous. i don't know if they search for companies like me or they got RapNet hacked. Either way this type of scams should get pursue by Authorities.
