Hello
I am based in Australia and have been faceting gemstones i=under the guidance of my father who passed away s little while ago. I have continued this hobby using his tools and equipment. Now and then i find something i can't figure out or haven't learned.
Just now I have found a couple of vials of diamond grit to be used for the polishing stages. they were purchased on one of his overseas holidays and i can't read the foreign writing on the labels. the only relevant numbers are
0-1 and 0-1/2

Do these numbers specify a certain grit size such as 3000 or 50,000 which is predominately what i use for polish and prepolish

thanking you in a anticipation.

It's probably the size of the diamond in microns. 1 micron is 14,000, .5 microns is 50,000.

edit: oops, forgot to say welcome! You're in the right place :)
