Figured I'd say hi. I'm a GIA GG and currently working in sales and doing appraisals. After many years of the same old routine and new management I'm deciding to become an independent gemologist and start upgrading my education but that's definitely not cheap. Been looking through the forums and their's some great info and hope to learn more.

Welcome to the board! I'm in Southern Manitoba. The next time I need something appraised I'm going to have to drop by and say Hello. I cut gemstones and winter is almost here so it's almost time for me to start cutting again.

I don't really miss the cold and the snow, but on the flip side, I don't particularly care for 3 months of 110+ degrees. At least we've got hockey now.
